Photo of the day

January 30, 2019

Hello, I know that buying a home is a very stressful time. I am posting pictures of things we find during a home inspection. Some of them you might be able to find yourself while looking at prospective houses.  The first photo is of a Federal Pacific Electric Panel. If your home was built between 1950 and 1990 and is equipped with a Federal Pacific Electric (FPE) circuit breaker panel with Stab-Lok circuit breakers, you run a significant risk of breaker malfunction and fire. IT is recommended a licensed electritian evaluate before closing. Some insurance companies will not insure a home with these panels and they have to be replaced with a new panel.
